I glance down at my GPS to make sure this is where we want to be and in doing so I almost pass my destination. We become what we think about all day long. Ralph Waldo EmersonI know most of us heard this at least once during their life time, but what does it really mean? What thoughts have to do with who we are and what we do? What have they to do with our circumstances and the people that are showing up in our lives? I came to believe that it is true, what you focus on, your beliefs, your fears, your worries and doubts become your reality because they are present in your mind. Everyday we have 60000 thoughts and most of them are the same as the day before, most of them are negative. We choose to spend our life worrying about what the future might bring, to complain about our present circumstances and about whats missing in our lives.

The Importance of Imagination

While growing up, Id never really considered how important it is to be imaginative. Its a childhood profession, you could say. It comes naturally. Then we hit an age when were presented with a scantron of bubble-in options, a template for a CV that we need to create, and Excel. At that point, our learning has to fit into certain parameters: within that little bubble, within the one page limit, and within a tiny digital graph. So, what happens to our imagination?It seems to fade.
