Reason #1 The first reason is because the tempo of dubstep music happens to be catchy. If you have listened to dubstep then you very well know what I mean.. This type of music happens to allow you to bob your head to it due to it's speed also known as tempo. Number Two. Marketability. This genre has mainstream value that's for sure. Sure, it started off in the underground and many people who were into it at the beginning are fuming that it's going mainstream, still it has potential to do so because of how interesting it is. Reason Three At the end of the day pure dubstep will remain pure dubstep. Those who are listening to dubstep now think that it going to mainstream levels will ruin it but I disagree, I think the opposite will happen. Those who were into dubstep in the beginning will continue making new and even better original dubstep music or create a new genre. I just don't think that the dubstep world can kill off a whole genre. If you think about it, dubstep started in the underground and although there is mainstream dubstep, there is still underground dubstep which hasn't changed much at all. dance music went to the masses in the mid 80s but that didn't stop originators of the style from making fresh dubstep tracks that never made it to mainstream. Basically there will just be mainstream dubstep and underground dubstep simple as that.
